Mortgage Authority has quite a few marina financings "under its belt" ranging from a $400,000 marina land aquisition (with environmental challenges) to a $31,000,000 credit facility for redevelopment.

Our experience begins in 1985 when Mr. Pope aquired his first marina. This was an operating commercial fish house which he redeveoped into a yacht club/marina. He successfully obtained the entitlements, the loans which were a hybrid of debt and equity financing and an aggressive marketing plan.

Many marina loans later Mortgage Authority has alliances with a core group of professionals & consultants to assure the optimum outcome when accepting a new marina client. We have two sister companies that assist in bringing the client's goals to fruition, Marketing Authority, Inc.  and Marina Authority, Inc. Mr. Pope is a member of AMI (Asssociation of Marina Industries).
